Ticking Bomb
03:49
|
|||
Sometimes people worry, that i'm just gonna blow
I guess the news got around, that sometimes i can let myself go
In an angry slur, i scream out all my words,
and i scream and shout, don't come anywhere near me
in an angry slur, i scream out all my words
and i scream and i shout, don't come anywhere near me
Don't come anywhere near me
Cause i'm a Ticking Bomb
Now i've calmed down, today's gonna be a good day
Until someone decides, that they've got something stupid to say
and in an angry slur, i scream out all my words
and i kick and i shout, don't come anywhere near me
and in an angry slur, i scream out all mywords
and i scream and i shout don't come anywhere near me
Don't come anywhere near me
Cause i'm a Ticking Bomb
Now i've calmed down
Where'd everyone go
Now i've calmed down
Where'd everyone go
in a hazy slur, i put together my words
i've got little to say, can nobody hear me

Our Step

What a pleasent surprise this is
you crept on me with a kiss
and now i'm floating in the clouds
my mates are gonna take the piss
when they hear me sing like this
but i guess they're just feeling proud
i don't want to scare you
I don't want to scare me, i can be quite the fool
I don't want to scare you, but this is sorta, this is sorta wonderful
you've got the biggest smile for such a little thing
you stopped me our step you know i couldn't breathe
i guess i just wanna say one little thing
this is sorta, this is sorta wonderful
Isn't it, oh isn't it
Just try and stop me
just try and stop me
just try and stop me anyone
i've got the world
i've got the world
i don't want to scare you
I don't want to scare me, i can be quite the fool
I don't want to scare you, but this is sorta, this is sorta wonderful
you've got the biggest smile
you've got the biggest smile for such a little thing
you've got the biggest smile
oh this is sorta wonderful, isn't it.

Oh Blimey
05:04
|
|||
I've got this old man sitting in front of me
He's rambling, i think he's had one two many
He's not happy with the way lifes treated him
he wants a refund he wants to try again
I think oh blimey
I think oh blimey
I've got this kid he's standing in front of me
he's asking me to buy him nicotine
he looks so broken, he's barely in his teens
and life's just given up, it's given up on him
I think oh blimey
I think oh blimey
What a crazy little world that we're living in
I'm on the street and a window i'm looking in
There's a conservative couple sipping on thier gin
The gents on his blackberry, he's clearly in a work meeting
the lady she's pondering whilst touching her wedding ring
I think oh blimey
i think oh blimey
What a crazy little world that we're living in
I'm staring at the skies as they stare down at me
I'm singing with the winds as they sing silently
i think that this world is beautiful place
i think that this world is a beautiful place
i think that this world is a beautiful place
if you just look at it
RIGHT IN THE FACE

Warzone

All they ever saw was the bottle get swigged back as they drank their way through the wars
they never saw what it was like for anyone to talk about what anyone ever felt
all they ever heard was the silent shouting as the tension grew through the walls
But not a peak from anyone, not a peak from anyone
Drink your way through the war now
It's all we ever do
Drink your way through the war noq
It's all we ever knew
Drink your way through the war kid
it's all we ever do
Drink your way through the war kid
It's all she ever knew
She sit's listening to the stumbled words of a broken man
But broken as he be, he's all she's got left of the two you see
And he invites the killer in, he makes him feel at home
Wont you take a seat, Take my last breath from me!
Drink your way through the war now
It's all we ever do
Drink your way through the war noq
It's all we ever knew
Drink your way through the war kid
it's all we ever do
Drink your way through the war kid
It's all she ever knew

Hidden Sight
04:03
|

I'm not quite sure you know at all
how much harder we need to try to not let all of this slide
have you noticed that we're falling apart here
we never call we never spend time at all
in each others lives even though we spent the best part of it
growing by our sides and we spent the best part of it crying at the fright at loosing one of us
then when it happened we just started to rust
i can't recall the last time that we tried
and we didn't try to find somewhere else to hide
what could we be doing with all of our time
and when did love become such a crime
when you look at me you see her face
when i look art you i see the chase
we all fall back into that blimb
the one we lost with such sublime
If she could see us now, she'd feel so she'd feel so lost
if she could see us now, she'd feel so alone
If she could see us now, she'd feel so, she'd feel so lost
if she could see us now, she'd feel so alone
She'd feel so alone
So lets stop pretending, we're just stuck in that limbo
we're trying to blend into society, we can't help our anxiety
If i can't see you than you can't see me
Blood is thicker than water they say
sons and daughters don't ever fade
but reality is starting to get quite apparent and can't you see that i'm quite afraid
is there really any chance, is there really any way
when i put my all out last year i did
all i wanted to do was hide from all of you
but i screamed and i cried
and i created such a hype
it doesn't matter it was all dismissed
and now we watch as the family pisses it all away
If she could see us now, she'd feel so she'd feel so lost
if she could see us now, she'd feel so alone
If she could see us now, she'd feel so, she'd feel so lost
if she could see us now, she'd feel so alone
She'd feel so alone
She feels so alone
she feels so alone
she feels so alone, so alone with us today
If she could see us now, she'd feel so she'd feel so lost
if she could see us now, she'd feel so alone
If she could see us now, she'd feel so, she'd feel so lost
if she could see us now, she'd feel so alone
She'd feel so alone

Stuck
06:00
|

i heard it gets easier as time goes by
I heard you get use to, this feeling inside
I heard that the memories they stay as bright as day
I heard it gets easier as time goes by
But i just want you back in my life
i don't feel like time is going the right way
i want you back in my life
i don't feel, any safer today
i just want you back in my life
yesterday is closer to that day that you went away
I'm still, stuck on that day
I heard that this black hole, it never subsides
I heard that the memories they stay as bright as light
I heard the heartache it never fades
I've heard that the missing, it always aches
But i just want you back in my life
i don't feel like time is going the right way
i want you back in my life
i don't feel, any safer today
i just want you back in my life
yesterday is closer to that day that you went away
I'm still stuck on that day
Each day seems further away
From that day, you went away
Each day seems further away
From that day, you went away
I can still feel the room as it went cold
i can still feel my heart as it froze
i can still feel my face as it broke
i can still the other hearts beating
i can still hear your silent heart weeping
as the angels took you away
If i listen quietly, i think i can hear you say
Tomorrow will be okay

Japanese Eyes
05:20
|

I can't forget those eyes
made hearts melt inside, don't lose them
who could forget that smile
felt at home with anything, felt ease in anything
don't lose you
we'd stay up late at night and listen to the goo goo dolls
what you feel is what you are, and what you are is beautiful
beautiful
You use to get so excited about everything
and there was an innocence behind your youth
you knew how to wind people up
and ohj you made it work for you
You'd hold your head up high and say that you weren't bothered
they tried to kick you down, but you'd just say that you weren't bothered
they kept on fighting back, but you'd just say that you weren't bothered
we'd stay up late at night and listen to the goo goo dolls
what you feel is what you are, and what you are is beautiful
When did you stop feeling beautiful
When did you stop
I hear you're not doing your well
no you're not looking after yourself
my blood it freezes inside, my veins they've gone so tight
i heard you're not doing well no you're not looking after yourself
your blood it freezes inside and you veins they've gone so tight.
When did you stop feeling beautiful
When did you stop
When did you stop feeling beautiful
When did you stop
You were made, to be beautiful
You were made to be beautiful
you were made to beautiful
You were made to be beautiful
Oh wont you come inside. cause it's getting cold
Remember that wild, that wild wild time.
Oh wont you come inside, cause it's getting cold
Remember that child, that child that never cried
You were made to be beautiful
You were made to be beautiful
You were made to be beautiful
You were made to be beautiful

Wrong Place, Wrong Time
05:15
|

She was just a child, in a grown up world
She wasn't thinking, about how one mistake was gonna mess up the rest of her days
Why oh why oh why
She was just in the wrong place at the wrong time
Why oh why
She was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
She didn't think that she'd fall through
she kept thinking of those eyes
you all said that she'd get through
and you stuck there by her side, through her darkest time
through her darkest time
She feels so dirty, can't get his taste off her skin
she feels so filthy can see everyones eyes seething
she feels so dirty cant get her screeching out of her face
she feels so filthy she feels so filthy
she feels like such a disgrace
Why oh why oh why
She was just in the wrong place at the wrong time
Why oh why
She was just in the wrong place at the wrong time
She didn't think that she'd fall through
she kept thinking of those eyes
you all said that she'd get through
and you stuck there by her side, through her darkest time
through her darkest time

Butterfly Effect
05:11
|
|||
At the beginning they think, nothing is gonna let me sink away from my family
they're my blood, my love, the air that i breathe
What starts as a yearning to go home
as the ticking of the clock lets them know
that they're not stuck in time, this isn't forever
come five they'll all be together
the workers that is, the slaves to our country
the men who fight with numbers, whilst their names go rusty
the ones that are all stuck on a train down below the surface
piled up against each other like animals from a circus
and they aint got any soul in their eyes
apart from a few, that are still anxious as each stop takes them by
but there the ones with kids with the big tired eyes
just waiting to see daddy before they call it night
most are already tucked up in bed they know that as soon as he gets in
he's gonna head
straight to the cupboard with the bottles that make adults dizzy
But the days and the months and years have got him
he's been a slave longer now than he's ever had freedom
he sits in his chair with his hands through his hair
reminding himself that this was his decision to make
the wealth for his family, was his mistake
and what started as excitement, a change for them all
a sense of security and nowhere to fall
has turned into a home that empty of laughter
he keeps telling himself that after they're grown up they'll have all that they need
designer clothes and cars of speed
their own homes and their own families
but families are expensive if you want the best for them
and out comes this vicious circle where everyone
sacrifices themselves
to the cooperation world
hundreds of these men walk through the streets of London
whilst little old fred sits homeless and rotten
asking for any money that they don't need
but it's their blood, their love, the air that they breathe
Little old fred sits frozen to the bone from being left alone
hows he have faith anymore
even when you're rich you're still left poor
but keep on fighting
just keep on fighting
we're stronger now
theres a young poet behind the bar
she's serving pints whilst men stare down her bra
beisdes her lays an empty book
but she can't seem to get her imagination to work
she doesn't get home until four and there's a day to start before she's through the door
she thinks of the warmth of her bed, and the day ahead of her that she's going to dread
but she
She keeps on dreaming
she keeps on dreaming
cause we're stronger now
he sits in his chair with his hands through his hair
reminding himself that this was his decision to make
the wealth for his family, was his mistake
and what started as excitement, a change for them all
a sense of security and nowhere to fall
has turned into a home that empty of laughter
he keeps telling himself that after they're grown up they'll have all that they need
they'll have designer clothes and cars of speed
they'll have their own homes and their own families
but families are expensive if you want the best for them
and out comes this vicious circle where everyone
sacrifices themselves
to the cooperation world
Just keep on fighting
just keep on fighting
we're stronger now we're stronger now than we ever were before
we're stronger now we're stronger now than we ever were before
